At HSPG we are keeping a close eye on the government’s white paper “planning for the future”. The proposals reduce the number of Section 106 housing (The process by which 49% of affordable housing is facilitated). The government claims their new plan: an infrastructure levy which will be used to support affordable housing, will match the current delivery of houses.
However, local councils suggest the proposals will see a drop of 6,000 homes built per year.
