HS Property Group are proud to announce that we have become National Landlord Association (NLA) accredited, joining the UK’s largest representative organisation for landlords.
The NLA online course covers an extensive range of topics from the complexities of property law and tax to the importance of health and safety. HS now belongs to a national scheme recognised by landlords, tenants and councils.
The accreditation allows us to develop our knowledge and property management skills, whilst simultaneously gaining a competitive edge in a progressively saturated property market.
A key feature during completion of the NLA course is its ability to highlight unfamiliar and obscure issues which the average landlord might be unaware of.
For example, one subject explores the dangers posed by Legionnaires’ disease and proposes how best to preserve the health and safety of the tenant from this problem.
As a result Housing Social, the management and maintenance arm of HS Property Group, require all tenants at the start of their tenancy to read a document outlining the risk and dangers of Legionnaires’ disease and the steps both the landlord and tenant can take to control the risk of exposure to legionella.
Landlord accreditation is becoming increasingly important to landlords, tenants and local authorities as it is a clear and simple way to demonstrate to tenants and others that you are a professional landlord.
Joining the NLA further helps to position HS as a reliable and professional landlord that delivers high-quality, ethical housing alongside safe housing for public-sector needs.
